So, I've been going through all my Green Lantern trades in preparation for the Blackest night and decided it would be fun to draw my friends and myself as the various lantern corps. I don't know if I'll be able to do all of the different corps... I can't think of who I could give the orange ring without feeling like I'm insulting them. :\

Anyway, not much to this one. My nephew and close comrade, Zerikou, is wearing the blue uniform (for those of us who know us, I made it sleeveless so that you can look at his bicep!) and the green is of course me. I tried to update my uniform a bit by giving it the sort of contoured, lined look that all of the other new Corps' uniforms have. I also took a lot of cues from the wonderful design of Hal Jordan in Midway's Mortal Kombat vs. DC. Of course, I gave it a bit of a... trench... cape... skirt? I mean, you don't think I'd make myself a costume without one, do you?

Anyway, as a point of interest, I tried to maintain colour continuity, sampling the colours directly from the comic... the acception being the blacks on the uniforms which are actually just very dark, dull shades of the main colours. Each character only has shades of blue and green respectively in their uniforms.
