IT'S TIME TO GET SPOOKY.
...Again? Apparently?

By fun coincidence (and complete accident), I did an EXTREMELY similar piece last year: purple dip pen, witch in pumpkin patch, underbust corset, garters and tights, pin-up style, same angle, very similar pose, ink-wash space background...it's a little unnerving. But I absolutely love that I can put the two side by side and see the difference that a year has made.
The...is 'original' the right word for it when I wasn't trying to redraw it? Anyway, last year's spoopy witch:

I've finally zeroed in on a paper that works well with my dip pens without feathering or being rough-textured: Artist Loft Marker Paper. It's honestly the last thing I expected to work well but here we are. Unfortunately it doesn't take ink washes well, so the background's a bit choppy and there are quite a few places it seeped under the masking film that I had to correct with white ink.
...Then when I went to paint the moon I spilled the whole thing directly onto the drawing. It actually cleaned up pretty well, but there is some light staining on her tumtum and skirts. All things considered, though? That could have been a disaster, so I'll take it.

This piece is for sale for two boxes of Count Chocula.
