Blending and separating tones works the same for black, white and gray as for colors. Get hold of a color wheel (sold at most art stores) for quick reference on how to blend and separate color.
Here your use of color is almost all about harmony. It needs some contrasts to give it punch.
That said, the pastel quality is quite lovely - which would be great for a flower arrangement, but what does it say about SPAWN?

I wanted him to shine, particularly on his chains and the lightened parts of his suit but now that you mentioned it, i guess that effect doesn't really suit him. I guess Spawn does look better when he looks darker. Thanks again for the input sir!
