Description
This is the model I built for "Nova Trek 8: Special Report". It should be good for Poser 9 and up as well as Daz Studio 4.5 and up. It hasn't been tested in any earlier versions so I can't promise what they'll do. It's all prop files. Everything's smart propped, so it should all load right where it's supposed to be.Big thank you to Spotted Kitty for doing the Daz dirty work.
Edited Update: I've heard from some that they're having problems getting this beast to work. The problem seems to center around the Dock_body. So I have gone back and added an obj file of the Dock_body and a Poser 9 scene file for those that can import it. As to the obj file, simply add it to your geometry folder and then bring up you program and call up the prop file for the Dock_body. If it still won't come up, then import the obj file. The remaining props should still be parented and import into the scene where they belong.
My apologies to those having problems.

It's based on the design in the StarFleet Technical Manual.

it keeps looking for D3D_torus.obj whenever I try to load the base figure.

Are you talking about the Dock body? Because that obj does not ring a bell. I know there was a problem with the dock body and I added an obj for it. Have you placed the obj in your geometries folder? Have you tried to load the scene file I included?
I just loaded it from my runtime and everything loaded ok.
Send me a PM with your e-mail and I'll send you a list of all the props needed for the scene. Lets make sure you have everything.

Okay, I've just sent you the D3D torus file- both obj and mtl.
I just opened the scene file and maybe where it's opening in poser, it's not asking for any ground file. But now that you have the D3D file, it should be okay. If it's not, let me know.

My lighting doesn't always come out quite the way I intend, but I'm going to give it my best shot.

You're welcome. Spotted Kitty played with this in his version of Daz, so it should be okay.

No doubt it will, as soon as I get my graphics unit up and running again. Can't wait, but progress is so slow as it has to come from a very limited income these days.

I know that feeling. That's why I try to build most of what I use- or try to find a freebie version. I know that sounds cheap, but when you only have so much money, you've got watch where it goes. For example, Poser Pro 2014 is due to come out on the 21st and I'm giving very serious consideration to getting it- but it's over 200$.

Ouch, that's nearly half of what it'll cost to repair my comp... so i'll stick to my DS.

$239.00- and that's the "side grade" from Poser 9. If you're coming in Cold Turkey, it's $399.99- and that's with $100.00 off.

The only reason I'm thinking about getting it, is because they have a new feature in it this time. A "Fitting Room". Supposedly, you can take any figure and any other figure's outfit into this room and actually fit the outfit to the figure- morphs and all and save it as an outfit for that figure, No need for Wardrobe Wizard or Cross dresser or any of the other programs for converting outfits.
Thing is, it's only in Poser Pro 2014. Poser 10 won't have it.

No cold turkey for me then, cuz that's approx the repair cost for my graphics PC.
