Great chunks of flesh were ripped from the ground, hell was being devoured like an immense lasagna. Clere's movements were causing earthquakes and storms far from where she was eating, all of hell shook as she took it into herself, one mouthfull at a time. Clere's back rose up, as her body grew to fill the space between the ground and sky. Rather than pass and allow the great green shape of Clere's back to rise through, the clouds bent, as though they were attatched to a flexible, invisible membrane that effectively formed a ceiling to hell.
