The main characters of one of my first series are being redesigned.This is the new revamped design of my character Akagi. You can actually see an old design of her HERE , from way back in 2003, before I finished developing everything.
The main changes in her design are the lower portion of her costume. I really didn't like the short shorts (I don't even know what I was thinking when I designed that) and I hadn't put a lot of thought into her footwear. What I did like and opted to keep was her top, although it was suggested that I change the side straps to a single strap around her ribs at the bottom of her top. I just wasn't feeling it so I only downsized the collar of the top.
I showed this to some friends before I posted it an it was pointed out that she looks a little small. Well that's mainly because I designed her to be 5'6" tall. So yes she's a little on the small side
But she can still do a good lot of damage 
Akagi is one of the half dozen characters starring in the sci-fi series.

No problem. I think most artist, no matter how experienced they are, are never quite happy with their designs. The good thing is they can be done over (unless published, of course).

Well I keep evolving their designs but I can never get them just right, so I'm going to toss them to my penciller to tweak

Excellent image. I love the design, it's clean with no fuss. So is the line-art. It does have a bit of the tomb-raider genre of character to her tho...maybe you can go a bit more original?

I don't see a thing wrong with this. She's definitely attractive and I love the idea of short females doing a lot of damage too. (My main character Nia is only supposed to be 5'2"). Good work!

She looks like someone Tawnya would get along well with... Very nice. Too bad she does not live in the 24th century, Starfleet needs a good kick in the pants once in a while. Keeps them straight.

The Val was comissioned 2262, refit 2276, then lost with all hands 2277, only to "reappear" 2324.

Sorry, just placing Akagi in my story's timeline, guess I rambled a smidge *too* much.
Btw, useless triva, there was the IJN Akagi aircraft carrier that helped bomb Pearl Harbor and was at the battle of Midway. Good name for a tough fighter girl.
