Hey cool, i done a few experiments similar to this..though being a poor student i used food colouring instead of using up my precious supply of ink

i did notice that indeed, all the lines around it look like wind blasts, as if it had hit extremely hard. i like this alot.

The smoky effect and the fist make me think of the stop smoking adverts (passive smoking kills)! It would make a very powerful campaign piece.

yup. black india ink. 1 drop in 4.2litre water, 1 diffuser, 1 flash + softscreen and the watercontainer was on top of a lighttable.

well the setup itself didnt take too long, maybe 20min or so but ink in water is always a bit of luck for obvious reasons so until i got this exact ink drop photographed in this exact way so i didnt have to alter the shape in post processing took me a couple hours of trial and error
