I was going to show my flatmate this and laugh at how similar it looks to our apartment, but I feel the joke is lost now that it IS the building were we live right now.

Wow..this kinda gives me the creeps. It certainly captures the "caged animal" feel of living in a place like this. I am in one now out of absolute necessity and I feel like I'm climbing the walls and pacing like a captive lion! Beautiful shot and mood. It's almost an optical illusion, as though it is moving and bending while I look at it....

nice shot, especially because i think a lot of people would just pass this up without seeing anything special about it.

thank you very much. and i completely agree -which is also notable on dA itself- people tend to not look at everyday objects. i personally find that exactly those at-first-sight boring objects can have the most interesting narratives of all.

Wow. That is actually a pretty powerful shot if you think about it. I like how everything is all uniform except for little bits of color here and there (like the orange towels and everything). It says alot about the way things are (I think).

i don't think it could, really.
i just said that it wasn't perfect because perfection is unattainable.
but it's very very close.

I lived in the dorms for a year, and towards the end of it, I felt like I was living in a shoe box with glass on one end of it. This picture reminds me of that. I like how all the apartments together seem to form a texture, and that there are splashes of color here and there.

My ex lives in one of those places on Hobson Street. I'm so glad that she's my ex. I could never live in those places, I went and saw it once, it was industrial matte gray, cold and steel.
