IT’S MY BIRTHDAAAAAAAAAY! And with that, I went ahead & made a gift for myself (even if it kinda hurt my hand to make). For Danzariel Xaltor’s birthday, Monika went ahead & got him a giant pipe organ so they can play it together. The piano is Monika’s instrument & an organ is basically a big scarier piano with pipes, so it checks out. This organ’s design in particular was inspired by the one that Davy Jones plays. I’ve always loved the pipe organ because of how deliciously evil & sinister it can sound. The grandiose metallic echo of the music escaping through the pipes just soothes my soul. If I could learn any instrument, it would be this one, though I have no idea when I’d have the time for that. Anyway, this piece was a bit of a challenge to make, especially with figuring out the positioning of the characters & orientation of the canvas, but I’m glad I got it done in time for my special day.
