What would the second Scattergun choice be? If you didn't have a Force-of-Nature I mean..

In that case It should be Soda Popper. The hype that you build up can be used against support robots like Snipers, Spies or even Medics.

What about the stock scattergun? It has a reliable damage output that doesn't rely on timing of minicrits.

There is no really a rule about a Scattergun. Everything is acceptable on its own way, but in my opinion Force-a-nature is the best choice.

Agreed. Force-a-Nature also have the knockback which can be helpful for the pyro in case of a failed attempt to reset the bomb. (be careful of the robts health though since FaN does dmg and airblast dont... unless you include a blasted rocket ^^)
