Now THAT is what I wanna see! A true support Pyro. Not just a maggot that runs ahead and dies with the first rocket directed at him.

I love to play as Soldier in this ROBOTIC WAR, Its fun. I Prefer to Use the Beggars, For most Damage output, as a few ticks on damage and clip can wiper entire fields of robots. I also use the Buff Banner, to aid my teammates the most. And because the Escape plan got the boot, I use DA WHIP. This sound effective good, general?

*grumbles* I don't like Beggar's Bazooka but technically it's acceptable on the battlefield.
Still I recommend default rocket launcher - it has 4 rockets in tle slot, rocket-jumping is much easier and in contrast to Beggar's Bazooka you can QUICKLY blast a bomb carrier away if it's nessecary.
...And great work on the rest of the equipment. As you probably noticed I use a whip as well.

Ehg, I like 11 Crit Rockets Doing 500 Damage each in a short amount of time flying at a tank.
Just me, though. Stock is the most versatile for situations, I do agree.

In case you choose to use the default rocket launcher you can still fire 10 crit rockets which all will deal same ammount of damage, however while useing this rocket... you can aim! which is quite the advantage!

I can aim pretty well with it, Just spamming around corners in barrages of rockets does enough. The Splash damage makes up for the 3 Degrees of deviation.

Trust me, the beggers is not the best choice for the game. It may not be the worst rocket launcher for the game, but hell! if you want your team to compliment you then you should get the standart RL or maybe just Black box, either of those 2 would do the trick.
its not only the aiming, when you have to kill something you have to prepare for it and load your rocket which is another disadvantage, and what about rocket jumping?
I dont want to mention all the reasons, but you progress a lot if you started to use standart / black box.

Im not saying you dont, im just saying that the better choice for you is to use almost any other rocket launcher since the beggers is maybe the worst. That was confirmed in the first week of its arrival, both in PvP and MvM its not used that often due to the fact there are other better items you could use.

The Beggars? The WORST? In MVM? You have to be shitting me, right? You must have gotten off on the wrong foot with this beast or watch too much Shibby, because it is very effective, just slow to start. And if you're showered in cash, like in bigrock, that thing is pretty much maxed out at wave 3 if the scout is anywhere near decent. Then I can upgrade the important things, like Resistances, and just live off the Health-on-kill.

DearMrUnicorn In reply to arceus32 [2013-08-19 11:08:30 +0000 UTC]
quite the opposite my "good" man.
Ive seen so many players in MvM who used that "beast" even with a scout that got A+ in all of the maps. Not only on Elite MvM, but also Mecha. The soldier was often the worst player.
This is from countless games since a few fails now and then. but I cant count the ammount of tries in 2 hands atleast.
But I can tell you. If you show up with a beggers bazooka in my premade team of farmers you wont get a saying in anything, you will get 1 chance to change weapon or you will be voted out before you can say democracy!

Let me quote, from a guide of a well respected MVM player, his exact thoughts on the beggars.
AHEM
"This weapon is, for its great versatility, potential, and benefits, considered by myself and many to be the best Rocket Launcher for the Soldier in Mann VS Machine. The 3 rockets that fire from this weapon after it is fully loaded come out in quick succession at a much more rapid rate than would a regular rocket from any other Rocket Launcher. Though listed as a downside, the slight deviation of the direction of your rockets actually helps you here. If you load your chamber completely and fire into a horde from a medium distance, you will get a spread of rockets over the entire mob, effectively and severely damaging all of the robots in that horde. This weapon becomes even more incredible and borders godlike when you upgrade it in the later rounds. With a fully upgraded chamber size, you can store 11 rockets before having to shoot, releasing an insane amount of blast damage onto your enemies in a very short time frame. Upgrade your firing speed and the rockets will spew out of this beast even faster. With upgraded reload speed, you can load about 3 rockets per second, meaning you'll be putting rapid fire missiles out there almost faster than a Giant Rapid Fire Soldier. Finally, upgrade the Damage and Ammo Capacity and you'll have a weapon that will most definitely make the robots beg for mercy. The only real drawback with this weapon is that it cannot receive ammo from dispensers, though this can be remedied with upgrades to Ammo Capacity, having Ammo Refill canteens handy, or by simply knowing the locations of ammo dumps on the map and positioning yourself relatively close to them. LEARN TO USE THIS WEAPON! IT IS THE MOST VIABLE OPTION FOR HIGHER DIFFICULTIES AND MORE DIFFICULT WAVES WHEN IT IS UPGRADED!"

The very importent point of this "quote" as you call it is 2 things.
1# you forgot to mention the persons name so I have no chance of knowing if it was you who wrote it yourself if it really is from some pro player. so please add a link on next comment.
also your previous statement said if you had a crit can with the 11 rockets + fully upgraded it would hurt like hell. I agreed on that, but it would be too difficult, but also the "pro" player says the ammo can is a good option of the beggers player. which would remove the crit buff from you and giving you the low % of getting crits on all 11 or even just 1 of them? sure you can run around on the map collection ammo boxes, but what if your teammate makes the mistake of picking it up in front off you (BECAUSE IM MORE AWESOME AND IMPORTANT THAN YOU - quote from a previous game of mine, I belive I got a image of it over my steam account, fyi, he was a scout on bigrock.
Also, I dont know how old his post is, but im sure some other update have messed with the quote your choose.
To learn to use this so-called "deadly weapon" will take a while for any player. To master the rocket jump, find the right upgrades, how to move around, where the ammo is and much more. it will take a long long time!
about the part where you guy talks about "the slight deviation of the directions of your rockets actually helps you here" thats both a plus, but also a minus! if you need to focus it will haunt you badly, but if its a spray and pray... you're good to go, but when you need to spray you got a sticky demo or a heavy? that should do the trick.
But please include a link to his profile, to the quote etc.

*giggels* yea, I guess I have to agree with you. The homepage he made is impressive, really nice made, it shows how much he cares about the game, yet the sad feeling about it is... my own inventory + play time + ammount of tours on every map exceeds his...
I honestly think I could make a guide myself that would about 30% as good as his, yet still informe people about what they need to know? It just so happens to be like this: Im too lazy to even give it a try.
But thanks for the link, and again, I just said what my own opnions are on the matter of your loadout and how you could improve your gameplay. So dont take it the wrong way, but if I meet you in a game of mine, you wont stay there for long
But thanks for the link, when weekend comes ill read all of it and sit and nod in disagreement to some of it while eating my popcorns while reading about our own little bitch-fight we got going here

A choice of sticky launcher is a matter of what somebody is comfortable with. The same goes for a primary weapon. But it is important to not chose any mele weapon that lowers any other statistics (like health in case of eyelander), because you are not supossed to use it anyway.
An equipment that I recommend is a stock sticky launcher - for a fast deploy of stickies, loose cannon - for a pushback on bomb carriers and a bottle.

GuroDoktor In reply to Menaria [2013-08-06 22:28:11 +0000 UTC]
Yes, but the stun is quite helpful for rounds where there are no giants so you can stun bots en masse with upgrades to that ammo and then have your team wreck them.

Menaria In reply to GuroDoktor [2013-08-06 22:43:30 +0000 UTC]
I personally prefer to take this opportunity to simply come closer and one-shot each of them with force-a-nature instead of wasting time on stunning.
That's people's preferences, yet I recommend to buy more important things than marking+ammo upgrade for Sandman.

I use soda popper, mad milk and the atomizer myself. Although it has been ages since I've played MVM, let alone scout in MVM.
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
DearMrUnicorn In reply to Joosh-Face [2013-08-06 20:11:37 +0000 UTC]
Soda-popper can be used in MvM due to the mini-crit effect it shares onto every weapon of your for a little while, however it would be best if you could help the pyro reset the bomb now and then.
I often play as scout on MvM and people praise me for my work (ego boosts) but I use the Force-A-Nature because of the knock back and because its the only class/weapon that can stop a robot deploying the bomb if you hit it from the right angle.
as mentioned below the atomizer is a bad choice, you should refain from useing anything that will take away your own hp, as a scout you should get blasted around on the map without even useing your spacebar

Atomizer is a bad idea. It's again a matter of spending 500$ to gain an ability to mark with it, losing health every 3rd jump and mentioned jump can be easily replaced with force-a-nature.
