Good tutorial!
I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but instead of copy and pasting the layers into a new file, you can put them all into a group and drag + drop the group into a new file's window.
Thanks! This was helpful!

yes you can do that too
but there are so many different way to do the same thing on photoshop that the best is you choose the one you prefer the most or the faster one
and your make this actually faster than the one i said

One thing Im curious about, How do you get the dot in the Perfect Center of the 100x100? I keep trying but I cant get it in the middle quite right.. Help?

you don't really need to put it in the middle, i work with a 100x100 file to be sure to get a spinning background largeur than the 50x50 file i will save as avatar so you can fix the background when you start to work on the second file after finishing your background

I don't know what version of photoshop you use, but i use CS4 and i can't save animated gifs
when i re-open them, they are static D:

you need to click "file/save for web and devices" and then you can save it
you canimport by clicking "file/import/video frames to layers" but it will add white background and open the animation^
