my question is this: How do you make it so the rays on one side are larger than the other, like in the bottom picture you posted?

My answer is this: They are the same size. It's jus that the picture is longer on one side, making the sunrays look larger on the longer side.

for mac, you want to use "option" in place of "alt"

Honestly... I have no idea what to press instead. I've never owned a mac. But if you fool around with your keyboard a bit, you'll probably figure it out.

I enter the details for the first transform, then do the ctrl+alt+shift+t a few times and it either makes a polygon with like 14 or so sides or it spaces the rays out far too much
