I have an old ref of a character I'd like to enter, but before I add the flag and description I'd like to know if the character is even legible.
I'm redoing them rn, any info on what needs improvement is helpful!

That design is perfectly okay! The flag is a bit too complex, and it would be best if you removed a few of the details, but the alien itself passes just fine.

Both of those designs are fine, and it's all right if you don't own the species as long as you have permission to use it for the tournament.

I'm afraid not, as it more or less resembles a rabbit with no arms and accessories. A design that less directly resembles an earth animal (or is a mix of two or more) would be a better choice.

What about this? The creature is made out of crystal and a variation of gold (it's not too obvious).

I'm afraid it's still not eligible. To have a design be eligible, I recommend making one that is a combination of two or more animals in design, as what it's made out of doesn't count toward being acceptable.

This is much closer than the previous designs. We've decided that if the face was changed to less directly resemble an owl (and perhaps a few other features were added, like antennae or spikes) it would pass.

That design looks like it almost certainly passes, but right now the reference is too sketchy for us to tell properly. If you create a more finished version and check again, we will likely give it our approval.

Unfortunately your character too closely resembles an otter with wings on its head to truly count as alien. It also bears a very close resemblance to Patamon. I recommend you make a different character entirely for the tournament.

Nevermind actually, Looking around at other characters and stuff I don't think this group would work well for me just because of what I like to draw and what not. I think I just jumped the gun with initial excitement from the youtube video on this I saw. I Dont want to waste your time with this and then end up not even contributing to the group at all

I can understand how it looks like patamon because of the colors and the ears though my inspo was fidget the nimbat.
In anycase, do you have any suggestions on how I can have a similar body type to this without it being seen as an otter? I was not thinking about any animals in particular and just putting shapes I liked together, I didn't even suspect it would be seen as otter. I don't like super complex designs, so I feel like if i make another character with this sort of body it would just get the same problem without advice

Is this species (Vol•) eligible?
Now, I really like this species alot, infact I am surprised I was even able to create this since I am having a bit of an art block.
If there is anything that isn't acceptable on the species, please let me know! I will change it up and make it look more alien and then I will get back to you with a new version of the species.
( I kindly as anyone who sees this not to copy my alien species, as it is mine. If you want to take inspiration, go ahead! feel free to take inspiration from the claws and what not, as long as you don't flat out copy. )

I'm afraid that species isn't eligible for Xotiathon, as it essentially resembles a dog with a horn and spikes. We recommend giving it more alien features or changing its body structure to less resemble an earth canine so it can pass our standards.

Well, I recreated a new species (But kept the same name since I figure that it fits them more.)
