I actually did this back in December as a gift (which I never sent, because I'm a putz), which is why I didn't post it then. After that, I got down to some serious laziness and haven't drawn a bloody thing since. Now I feel bad. So here's this.I seriously recommend checking out the closeups for this one.

You know, I think I figured out what I like most about the women you draw. You make them look REAL you don't give all of them the same bone structure that someone else decided was pretty.
And I love your dragons. I don't know why. Have you ever though about drawing hippocampuses? I think that's how you spell it. I like those. things :3

Everyone seems to have their own idea of what's pretty...and I just take it all in stride, I suppose. Beauty isn't necessarily a physical thing, but as an artist, I'm limited to only a few paltry dimensions and a single moment in time that has to capture the ephemeral and transpose it to a physical rendering, so drawing every woman the same would be a heinous crime of limitation...alright, enough of the artistic philosophy. Doesn't really suit me, anyway.
Thank you. I've never actually had a reason to draw a hippocampus, but now you've intrigued me. I love playing with feathers, so I'll definitely consider it for a future painting........if I ever get time again. Ugh. I hate moving.

Why, exactly, doesn't this have a few dozen +favs and a hundred comments? It's gorgeous. I love the soft colours, the tiny details -- his scales, the little buckles on her sandals -- and the rainfall... and he's shielding her from getting wet with his wing, how perfect. Absolutely beautiful work!

Thankya! You wouldn't believe how weird it is to try drawing an obviously gentle dragon. Then again, this one was based on an iguana, and they pretty much look dopey anyway, so that helped
