Description This was literally glued together from little scraps. I'm not really a fan of segmented bowls but I like the idea of gluing up some blanks in a non-traditional manner. Expect to see more like this although larger and more complex.

I finally did it I bought a bench top lathe---so all I gotta do now us teach myself to use it-- I've carved some bracelets ---so now I'll try to make them on the lathe---could be interesting--i'm using nth sth grain slices of 1 timber & cross graining east west with another-& glueing them together---makes the bracelets stronger

did you ever glue all those tiny burl blocks together & turn them?

Nah, I'm still finding interesting little pieces as I go along. They certainly will not go to waste.

Will do. It takes a little more time over here since most burls are green and take forever and a day to dry.

Well, they will continue to show up. I have no intention of stopping soon. I agree, the random segments always seem to have a nice surprise. I've got one gluing up at the moment that has Cherry, Black Walnut, Apple, Beach and hophornbeam bits. I have no idea how it will turn out
