Awesome!Β Can you do a .obj Version, i cant handle .max files? That would be the biggest chrismas present for me.

Probably the biggest flaw in very early Trek (ENT-era) is the notion that sub-Warp 3 speeds are useful for anything.Β  Warp 2 is 8c, which gets you to Alpha Centauri in seven months if you keep the pedal to the metal the whole way (which you probably can't do) -- to say nothing if you want to go anywhere else like, say, Vulcan (Epsilon Eridani is fourteen months one-way -- hope those Vulcans were packing something more than a Warp 2 engine on First Contact day or they'd been in that tiny, cramped ship a looooooong time).

I suppose that if there were a network of starbases every half-light-year or so then that wouldn't be so bad, but you'd really have to do it in stages like that.Β  Space is big and empty, and the ships of the ENT era were cramped and spartan.Β  I don't think humans would be psychologically equipped to use early warp drives for anything more than puddle-jumping from one starbase to the next.Β  Trouble is, there's nothing in canon attesting to such a network of starbases existing between Earth and other nearby planets -- and you'd need quite a few of them.

As usual, physics is an asshole killjoy getting in the way of fun storytelling.Β  And it's only physics nerds like me who bellyache about it.Β  But Trek had stopped caring about even the pretense of scientific accuracy by the time ENT came along, so it's whatever I guess
