Description
A very rare sight (atleast for photographs) are weather-born waterfalls, especially for the desert of southern, utah. This small waterfall was formed because of flash flood rain covering the area in which I was hiking.

When I arrived in the area (called Red Cliffs, I come here often) everything was fine. I was hoping that the rain in the distance would cause more than just a couple of inches of water which normally ran through the Red Cliffs in this area, if any water at all. To my surprise, once I crossed the small stream of river with my car, I noticed a bit further up that there was a flash flood brewing. Within minutes, the water was more than 15 feet further up on the road than normal -- causing me to be trapped inside the park for more than 3 hours. During Lightning, thunder, and flash flood rains, I ventured out of my car to this small spot where you only see a tiny waterfall a few times a year. I call this waterfall the Peaceful Flood.
