It is a fairly simple flame. just two transforms. one that will always transform into a circular pattern at the origin, and one based on the spherical variation to create the rest.

In the sealed room behind the science station, the Master Computer resides in lonely isolation. In this sterile environment, it sits waiting for new input from beings who are not even aware of its existence. It runs all the functions of the spaceship, from the air they breathe to the engines to the food processors, but after 2000 years of traveling through space, without one mishap, without one glitch, the Master Computer became first a myth and then was forgotten altogether. And so it waits.
