A Stargate is a large circular portal which the characters use to travel from one planet to the next. Haven't seen too many of them either - liked the film though

Very very cool image! I like this one alot..I like the futuristic/antique look it has; I like the way the circles themselves seem to represent time, just because of the association we have with time pieces with round faces; I like the gradient, which also seems to reinforce the future/past idea where blue is the future and brown is the past; and I really like the highlights, which create a 3D feel and wonderful depth. Well done, once again.
