Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, from the musical Wicked.
Well, other than the fact that this is the Broadway musical currently taking up my time, as well as being better than Phantom of the Opera (but not a new obsession), I told ~daphnemoon I'd draw her Elphie and make it sort of a gift art all at the same time.
Works for me since I wanted to draw the amazing Idina Menzel, as her Tony winning character.
It's still very...um...rough. Bare with the horrible wip for now. It will be done soon I would hope.
It would have been done tonight except I remembered I need to study for a test I'm having tomorrow.
Oh, and Micah I've got a really good picture of Elphie and Galinda that I'm going to draw if I can only figure out how exactly to change Idina's skin to green when I'm drawing it...(she's normal flesh tone in the reference picture).

Yes..I have heard of wicked...I almost got to see it but the tickets arent available anymore...
My one friend is fairly obbsessive, and it sounds pretty awesome. Maybe the tour will come by again.

The soundtrack is pretty damn good. Of course I guess it's unfair to compare Phantom (an opera) to Wicked.

You're so good o.o It's not fair...(I'm starting to do a colored pencil drawing of Idina as Idina...slowly, I keep messing up the drawing. Now I'm intimidated to do it o.o)

It's not even a drawing yet! Well...It like...her face and the soft outline of her legs and hands and stuff, and her lips and eyes look weird so I still have to fix it before coloring it with mah pencils :3 (Her head has to be small on the paper X3 I have to draw things big or they become really inaccurate)

Ew...I keep looking at this image and there are just TOO many greens on her face. But I'm having a really hard time drawing green skin to look realistic. I'm going to have to cut down the colors on her face or she's not going to blend...;-;

Well...I'm going to see how it goes with the many colors, but I might blend colors together so it doesnt look like she has an entire green pallete on her face.

I want a really nice, sort of serious picture of her, but I cant imagine she has many, though I found one. But I think it's a rehersal picture.
