Description Alexander
Concept Testrender

Work in Progress.
There is still so much work with the hair!

Renderd in Cinema4D.

I will try several improvements in the next days on Alexander.
Eyes, Hair, Pose, maybe a Smile...
Maybe a version when he will have eye contact to the viewer... something like that...

The new and improved Alexander (verison 2) can be found here [link]

I'm like darkermusings, not sure what to say or how to critique, not used to critique a character by himself and I really don't know if it's your own morph or texture so I'm not sure what I'm judging The pose should be simpler, if it's a character test, plus I find that pose a bit awkward. The skin texture and light are excellent. As for the face, to me it's typical M3 or M4 and I'm not attracted to them, so it's just a matter of taste. Otherwise, you did a good job. I still prefer your first character, he looked more manly and mysterious

I like the position of his head on this one, its darkens up the whites of his eyes. Eyes are so weird if they are too dark you can’t distinguish them and if they are to white they look plastic. This look great, bravo!!

I think it looks great- the only thing I see that seems weird to me is his right shoulder- just something about the way it sits with the reach is a bit unnatural somehow... but you really have something good going here!

yeah some hair renders better than others in Cinema, I'll generally add the soft blur to help mask it some, still though nice job

Hi,
thanks you so much for faving so many of my images

This is just an Concept for an upcoming graphic.
Alexander will be the basis for a fantasy render. He is
a different character setup for the woodgood.

The eyes look flat, but that was already mentioned. Other than that, I honestly am to sure what to say. I'm used to more complex scenes I guess. The lighting is, again, superb.

You are right.
I am working on the eyes...
The scene will be much more complex...
This is a character test render!

It occurred to me this morning what helps me with characters. I think of them as real people, what they might like, not like, how they might react, etc. It was the reason I decided to have the woman barefoot in the image "In the time of Legends." I decided she would want to feel the cool stone of the terrace beneath her feet. It might seem silly, but that perspective really does make a difference for me when I'm working on setting up poses, or tweaking poses, creating expressions, etc.

Yup, tis a nice, realistic render, but as a few others have said, I'm not sure what sort of feedback you're looking for. Composition, lighting, pose?

Depending on what software you're using, you could try using the M4 displacement maps for added realism...?

KaanaMoonshadow [2009-11-21 08:43:22 +0000 UTC]

Sehr nettes Konzept.
