------ 3D character rendering in Cinema4D (mesh here: [link] ) ------ 
WOW! Thank you for this DD! I feel honored. Alexander is ready to cast his first magic spell (on you!).
Thank you all for your great feedback and suggestions.
This helped a lot getting Alexander this realistic!
Rendered in Maxon Cinema4D R11.5 using GI and a very complex light- and reflection-system of my own. Alexander is M4 based with mayor improvements on the textures.
I am using my own skin shader and my own shader extensions for the eyes. The mesh is hypersmoothed and optimized. The curtain is modeled using hypernurbs to.
The spell is created using light sources combined with fractal shaders... My first own magic spell!

You've gotten the proportions perfect, his smile and body are...drool worthy XD
And I absolutely adore how you did the spell. Most people do a swirling light cupped in the palm, or something similar, but yours really honestly looks like he is about to do something awesome...like rip open reality or something. Kudos to this. I'm now going to go drool over your angel's, because they are heavenly (couldn't resist the pun, sorry XP).

Definitely worthy of the DD! I love the expression. It truly doesn't make him look like a computer-generated character... I mean, that smile!

i LOVE your model.. The details of his body is unbelievable! And the eyes.. I don't think I've ever seen digital art eye so brilliant! I love the lettering.. I love the background.. For this one I can only say one word..
