Description Jedi Knight in Temple created in Cinema4D
(no Retouching or something done - direct 3D Render)

I did this rendering years ago but it is still one of my and it fits to my gallery...

This rendering is about 10 years old (2000)!
The jedi and its clothes, the light sabber and the temple are selfmade. 10 years ago there was now GI (Global Illumination) and no AO (Ambient Occlusion)!

There actually were some jedi who carried a saber staff. So its very cool and reasonably accurate to the SW universe.

No. I used nothing of the mentioned stuff. But thanks for the link. Interesting page. The Mesh is hypersmoothed (hypernurbs) and the texture shaders are all done using the C4d layer function... .hug:

I would simply die for being able to paint such a temple!
I can easily see one of my sweet girls in there!

Thanks Christine!
When I have a look at your gallery I cannot imagine you have to die for being able to paint a temple like that!

I wouldnt know how to paint it. But I know how to model, texture, lighten and render it. The good thing is I have not to pay attention to perspective and optical correctness. Because of the 3d space it is correct, if i did the modelling right!

Just ask. Do you want that Temple render without my jedi knight.

By the way this render is more than 10 YEARS old.
But I am well organized and there is sure a backup of the project files in the attic...

could I base a painting on it one day, take it as an inspiration (with all due credits of course) that would be grand!
We'll see, because for the moment I have to rest (on doctor's order) but the projects continue to buss in our heads of course!
I am sure we will talk again mike, hopefully my rest is not too long an obligation.
I truly enjoy our artistic friendship, it enriches my artistic perspective, thanks

Ich werd wohl ein Remake machen. Im Bereich Rendern von Menschen bin ich in den 10 Jahren deutlich besser geworden. Check mal meine Gallerie...

With some postproduction and retouching this image could look really epic. For now it looks just unfinished. Especially lighting could be way better and the Jedi has bit weird expression on his face. But anyway, this is a good start.

Thanks for your comment.

This rendering is about 10 years old. The jedi and its clothes are selfmade.
It was rendered at a time nobody knows GI (Global Illumination) and AO (Ambient Acclusion).

The Shadows are generated with a complex light system.

My human renderings look a little bit different today, you can see here: [link]

Thank you for your feedback. I think I will do a REMAKE in the next time...

I noticed after I commented that the thing is 10 years old. Well, not that bad then, but I still thing you could add some life to it later in Photoshop. Anyway, the new guy is light years better.
