AVATAR Fan Art - Character - 3D Render
PLEASE COMMENT BEFORE YOU 
Avatars are hybrids combined using the DNA of native Na'vi living on Pandora and Humans.
Avatars have some different anatomical features compared to the Na'vis. Avatar's have 5 finger hands instead of 4 finger hands.
Direct Maxon Cinema4D R11.5 render without any postwork.
M4 based 3D mesh using advanced morphs and other modifieres. I did some mayor improvements on the body and head morphs. Eyes, Nose and Ears are now Na'vi like. The body morph is adjusted. It was a challenge to get the Na'vi eyes. Believe me! Resolution is 2000x200 pixel but I can render it in any higher resolution.
Advanced and complex light and reflection setup.
Dont ask me about the render time!

Overall this pretty good but you anatomy is a bit off. The lower legs look too short comared to the thigh length. Also the torso between the navel and sternum looks a bit too short for a Na'vi or Avatar.
On the nose, you have the upper area between the brows indenting more like a human than like a Na'vi/Avatar. Look at some of the pictures from the movie and you will see that the nose doesn't narrow between the eyes.
Keep at it - you're almost there.

This avatar render is based on a standard human male mesh deformend with morphs and deformers.
I tried to get as close as possible to the avataras anatomical features. I know no 100% match but close...

You've done a really good job - I wouldn't know where to start with 3D ... and most of the Avatar artwork I've seen (especially drawings of Neytiri) have the same problems with the Na'vi/Avatar anatomy. They just have really looooong torsos.

Nice, just started with Poser 8 a few days ago - I don't know about the lighting & a lot of things yet so I can't say much.
The plant looks like one I was thinking of getting - The lighting / glow effects looks great
