Info: It would be very strange if a deviant named: Mike the Reaper DIDN'T submit a deviation or two for halloween! So I decided to unveil one of my creepiest concoctions on the world. This is a sequel of sorts to one of my previous deviations: [link]

This is Mulchbar the shadow demon: an elemental and eternal creature whose genetic material is made up of shadow matter itself. They are essentially formless creatures whose whispy and variable bodies consist of what is often described as a "luminous black liquid fire".

Mulchbar is the being who is responsible for giving me my dark powers and shadowy appearance it tried to possess me when Lindsi attempted to banish me into the shadow void: the mysterious negative space where shadow demons supposedly come from. Mulchbar failed to completely possess me before I could escape but it's genetic material became irrevocably bound to mine. I have been searching for a way to remove the infestation ever since.

Trivia: I didn't really want to release this character yet but I decided that the weird illustration was too awesome to keep to myself so here it is. I was experimenting with some new techniques to make the body appear to be both translucent and luminous like a Chinese lantern. It didn't come out quite as well as I had hoped but with this as practice I was able to make the next demon drawing look a bit better. Stay tuned for the next deviation!
