Description I've never really been a fan of the manic Riddler, I've always imagined him as a bit more of a Hannibal Lecture type. Refined and super smart. Enjoy.

Very cool. Actually reminds me of Batman: The Animated Series' treatment of The Clock King. I like both the manic Riddler and this more refined, stern version.

"Riddle. Me. This. The first is cast, but not a stone. it flees from light, the dark, it's home. The second breathes, dances, bakes, yet has no lungs, legs or cakes. Third's deep below, veiled from sight, it dwells where Dwarves find their delight. Put those three together, Who am I?"

Shadow + Fire + Mine = A shadow that dwells deep undergroud yet is made of fire ... a Balrog

I've also never been a fan of The Riddler. There's not much too him that makes him a great villain imo. He'd be a decent side-villain though. Someone who helps the GCPD first and the turns to a crime boss (The Penguin for example). Maybe they can take him a bit further, Jigsaw wise, but that's pretty much it. Visually, he's an uninteresting villain too. Though I must say, I like your take on him. Like he worked his way up to the crimeboss. I could see him being taken out by the main villain rather than being caught by Batman. Only for Batman to solve his last riddle. Or something like that.

I think I relate to the Riddler, since I like riddles, puzzles, and word games.

I've always liked to imagine him as a classy guy, but not Hannibal Lecter type, that would be scarecrow. I think he would be very funny and egocentric, a bit harmless looking, while in fact he's a manipulative, incredibly intelligent and sadistic bastard.

Arkham Asylum's Riddler is the best portrayal he'sΒ ever had in any media.

Paul Dini always makes him an incredible character, wether it's the animated series, the video Games or the comics. Other authors often make him appear like a joke, but Dini's Riddler is just perfect.

I like this one a lot. Certainly better than the tights/jumpsuit Riddler. I'm more partial towards a balance between the two, though. Mainly because he doesn't seem to be the type to miss a chance to brag in a loud manner. And I like the bowler hat.

I like this version of the Riddler; he's definitely more refined with no goofy tights or silly hat. The mood you gave him is good; darker and more thoughtful. He's more believable and thus more intriguing.
