Normally I don't write comments, but this is a really eye-catching piece of work so I'll try
The realism is impressive, it comes across through all the details - the wrinkles of the face, the hair, the reflection of the light on the fingernails, and also in the colour of the skin (I know this varies with individual monitor settings, but it looks very lifelike from here). The emotion is very well-captured too, all the more credit for you to achieve this through 'just' the face and hands!
And certainly not least, it makes me enormously happy to see watercolour used in comics. I suppose most of them resort to digital painting/colorizing to make things look 'elegant'.. but apparently, in the right hands, watercolour too can create very powerful images such as this one. Great job

this is watercolor? were the colors amped up a bit in Photoshop? it's so vibrant. either way, it's an amazing piece
