Description
With all the hours it took to paint, you can take a moment to FULL VIEW this one so you can see the details. As I started this one I remembered something I had forgotten the last few times I painted pics. Namely, that you have to start with the darker colors and overpaint every layer to get the graded shading look. I must say the nice thing about this style compared with the gradient is that you don't have to be so precise. Since my pics tend to evolve as I work on them this style of color fits better with my style of drawing and writing. With this pic I have now posted one painted and one gradient pic today. Don't expect any more for a while.

Shiny metal can be a real pain to make look right but you did a pretty awesome job!

Thanks. I don't do chrome or similarly high sheen metal very often so I tried to remember what tricks the hotrod illustrations use.

This came out really well, especially Colossus. You said in the scrap version you've been practicing big guys and it shows. The colors are nice, too--I especially like the coloring job on Illyana's sword. Good job!
