Since I was going with the RE1 outfit I had to do her with the rocket launcher. My fondest memories of the game were the replays with the rockets. There's nothing quite like being "surprised" by an enemy and hair trigger firing a rocket at it. Nobody wants to jump her with that thing in her hand... at least not after the first one does. As I said before, Jill is my favorite character in the whole Resident Evil series. I don't plan on doing any more RE images after this. At least not in the immediate future.
I think this Jill turned out better than my last one. It's a little easier for me to do faces in profile, though I have learned 3/4 for it's nice compromise between straight on and side view. But overall I'm much happier with this pic. I think that my pal Snooks will no longer have problems with the body types I draw here (I used to do short torsos and large heads). Since this is her blue outfit I decided to go with a less stark background for the pic with blue in it. I think it still needs a little more dark coloration in the BG but I could be wrong.
Jill Valentine, Resident Evil, and S.T.A.R.S. are property of Capcom.

This reminds me of her appearance in Marvel vs. Capcom 2--I use her frequently in that game.

I did the couple of times I played it, because she's Jill freakin' Valentine, that's why.

I love how her super move is sending zombies out to eat you. Guess they're good for something.
But seriously, how many times does she have to tell us "I'm a member of STARS?" We know already!

Other than keeping the neighbors up.
I suppose then that she says that when she wins.

And when she heals someone, or starts a fight, or does a combo move, or a super move--she says it a lot.

I see. So it's like her version of' "Yo Joe!"

Yeah--like Hulk, who says "Let's rock!" all the time, or Doom, who just laughs derisvely.

They need to have characters deliver lines less often and have fun rare alternate sayings so that you don't simply dread hearing them yack.

Seems to me capcom put all the work in the Street Fighter characters, who shout different things for different attacks, and got lazy with the "guest stars."

It would not surprise me but then Capcom is not known for good dialogue.

Wow, cool man. It is great to see more J. Valentine ^^ However I like her other outfit more. Maybe because I havent played the game yet, I just watched the movie. I saw the game on the store, should I buy and play?

Jill's other outfit is much sexier but this one was the classic so I have feelings for it. The games are rather hard but I enjoyed them (and cheated through most of them on account of the inability to dodge or maneuver competently with the control scheme).

I think I did a better job of it this time. I should do it more for practice if nothing else.

Me too. My friends like the term "whore boots" and they used it all the way through the first Resident Evil movie when we watched the trilogy last week. Waffle Stomper is just more fun to me.

Especially of you can squeeze a reference to Belgium in there. Like, In Belgium, waffle stomps you.

Nice work man, your females are starting to look more sexy now. The enlarged inset is a nice touch, and in a way makes up for the lack of a background. I've never played those games much myself, but I did see the movies, the first 2 anyways. I remember when those games came out. My brother had a bunch of friends over to play the second RE game and they kept screeming randomly because things kept surprising them.

Oddly enough, it was switching from an anime base to an American cartoon base which straightened out my proportions and not my attempts to move back to American comic book styles. I ruined RE1 for myself because I got a copy of the Wallflowers album Bringing Down the Horse at the same time as Resident Evil and I listened to the one while playing the other and now both are connected in my head. When I play the remake of RE1 I will not make the same mistake.

Whatever works man, the results are what matters, and so far the results are pretty good.
Yea I remember with the PSX there were some games you could take out and replace with music CD's and still be able to play and listen to the music at the same time. Of course I realize that you can achieve similar results with an independant sound system, but I prefer the in-game sound effects even if the music is annoying. Listening to outside music while playing a game is disruptive for me. I guess you can do it because you're not afflicted with ADD. You probably have a brain like Mr. Data that can compartmentalize things and pay attention to them at the same time. Anyways, I still reccomend that you not listen to external music while playing videogames.

True, I'm glad you like the way things are going.
That and you can often turn off the in game music in favor of the other stuff. After the RE1 incident I have never done that again, partially because my sound system does not do dual source simultaneously and I have everything hooked up to the one set of speakers. At least I won't do any atmospheric games with outside music anymore.
