Please excuse my spelling mistakes. I typed this rather quickly.

I had planned to do college work this afternoon, but I did this instead. Doing it immensely helped me with my understanding of shadows. I was originally going to have it cover making mirror-like surfaces too, but that wasn't really about lighting, it was just about drawing distorted versions of the scene in the surfaces of the objects.

The trick is now to take your scenes and break them down into basic 3 dimensional objects and then apply these rules to them.
