Description
Β©2007 Sarah B. Seiter - - Please do not use without permissionThis is a submission to the Merbaby contest at which is to turn her beautiful daughter Lyra into a mermaid
I have a two-year-old of my own and I created this image to capture how I often feel throughout the day as I rescue my child from random dangers. Thing is, he does not see the danger. It is a wide world of interesting and beautiful things to him. For a mother, the challenge is to know when to intervene and when to let a child learn through their own experiences.
EDIT: I added some detail shots here-

I have a list of all the rest of the stock I used to create this, but I canβt find the disk that I burned it to. I will edit this description as soon as I find it.

that's a really nice picture. if i may, could i borrow the idea of mermaid mother and child? or...is it just the actual picture i have to worry about asking to use?

Hi
Nobody can copyright an idea, just the way it is presented It is only the actual art that I have copyright on.

No problem
I do appreciate your caution since there are so many out there who take things which are not theirs without even a blink of the eye

I basically took a photo of a fish's scales close up that I used for texture and drew the rest The fin part was drawn by hand on my tablet.

This really, and I sincerely mean this, REALLY captures how I feel as a mother. And it does it with swanky mermaid style. Oh yes.

Wonderful can you creat an image to this? "Too save one life you need not get the heart to beat, rather you give it a reason to bet?"

That is a wonderful and touching saying. I will consider it I am working on several other projects at the moment so it will likely be a while before I can work on it.
