Thanks I use Prismacolor brand colored pencils. They are expensive, but so worth it I usually get mine on ebay for less than they would cost on the regular stores.

Do you have any step by step of your pencil works? I'd very much like to see them, how you achieve such beautiful tones... I just can't get a good result with my caran'dache, so I guess I don't know how yo use them.

I don't have a step-by-step currently, but my good friend
Jessica Douglas has a couple and she uses a very similar
technique. She is now at but most of
her tutorials are at her old gallery.

If you read her notes in the tutorial, it explains how to
use the pencils most effectively.
