Each "head" took about 4 hours, I have a shot of my screen while sparrow was in process ^_^ I did Edward Scissorhands first, Followed by Captain Jack Sparrow, and lastly Willy Wonka, from Charlie and the Chocolate factory... This is suposed to be comeing out JULY 15th, this summer, I decided to stick to the theme of "lots of makeup on johnny depp in wierd costumes".... mmmm Yea...
I did it for fun realy, I know theres ALOT of lil mistakes the fangirls/guys will see, XD thats ok, I wasnt exactly going for perfection, just fun.
Critique if you want though I wont be changeing them ^_^

Its all about the shadeing, cause when you first make the outline, its realy easy to frustrait yourself to death screaming "WHY DOESNT IT LOOK RIGHT!!!" Alot of my art comes out "skinny" cause until its shaded i think my outlines look fat ^_^ Stupid brain!!!

Really really really well done! It takes me about an hour to draw a strand of hair in pixel art never mind a full face so I give you my respect!
The best thing about these is that they're actually pixel art. Most of the other favourites are just computer drawings that people like to think are pixel arts. I must admit: it did take me a couple of seconds to register the fact that you'd drawn these pixel by pixel, lol.

^_^ I cant lie, Im so bored by all these "cg" dolls that people claim are pixel art, Not that theres anything wrong with CG dolls, personally I think some are amazeing, But plain and simple, ITS NOT PIXEL ART.
I hate trying to get inspiration, looking through DA's pixel art sections and almost NOTHING is pixel art Thank god for bobby and splat pixel, and angy chan o.O there my favorites.
have you seen splatpixels art? my god I almost choked, Its a dark style, but amazeingly clean cel shaded pixel images, You can find some of his stuff in my favorites area XD

Inspiration is difficult. You've probably seen it already but I'll tell ya anywayz... there's a pixelart chat on the chat section of DA and they have a couple of tutorials... obviously you don't need the tutorials but there is a few really need pictures through it and they give you ideas of what to draw.
I'm working on a cityscape right now. I'm new to pixelart really so it's only like my third drawing! The grass alone has taken me about an hour already... maybe I'm just slow ^_^

yeah i viewed an online trailor of the movie and johnny does play willy wonka. a kindve creepy one, but a willy wonka. i thought for awhile he was playing charlie, but ive been mistaken. very good, once again.
