I have a question C:
I think I see your shadows penciled in with graphite~ do you color over that graphite? or do you just keep it there as a directional guide, then lay the color down after erasing it?
If you do color over it, may I ask why?
yer be awesome
thanks haha :3

Oooh a question
Either graphite or a black faber castell pencil, or even both. I use the black pencil in certain areas that I really want to define, I use it after I have finalised the base so I can blend it in. And by use it I mean barely use is, too much of it makes a horrible dark mess, so I only use it in a small amount. I colour over the black pencil so it doesnt stand out too much and blends in smoothly with the rest of the drawing. Then the graphite is only used after everything is blended, sort of as a touch up in areas I feel didn't turn out dark enough/want to define more. So I simply etch it over the completed coloured drawing in those areas, and never blend over the graphite. Then comes all the gel pens and fancy stuff if needed
Hope that answers the question?

This is awesome! I made a similar colouring tutorial a while back since there were none for the type of colouring this is and because of that, it took me 2 years to try and figure out. I'm glad you've done one too since a lot of people like to know how to colour in this way.

Actually although we colour similar, I haven't tried going over my pictures in white to make the blending smoother. I will try that! So, thanks for the tip!
