This is MASK agent Ace Riker Codename: Falcon who is MASK’s surveillance expert.

Growing up in New Mexico near Carlsbad Caverns Ace got into rock collecting as a child and spent much of his youth exploring the vast network of caverns as well as studying the old west due to his ancestry being linked to the Cherokee Indians making him an expert in the subject.

Joining the United States Air Force Ace became a pilot and was assigned to the Air Force where he excelled in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Ace craved more action and excitement than his USAF career was giving him and joined NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) as a test pilot becoming an expert on NASA space exploration vehicles and piloting bleeding edge aircraft.

When the opportunity to join MASK presented itself Ace opted for very early retirement from NASA to join the team where his skills and abilities became invaluable assets to the on their missions.

Ace is a laid back individual with a rugged demeanor and a distinctive calm voice which stays even and calm no matter the situation. Ace has become close friends with his fellow teammate Ali Bombay who has a similar temperament and outlook on life and the two are often partnered together on missions.

Ace owns and operates a hardware store located in his hometown and spends most of his time off fishing, camping or traveling.

Ace has also used his considerable skills as a pilot to become an expert stunt flyer who will perform in air shows or at charity events.

Ace wears Ricochet mask which fires an electrified energy boomerang that spins at high speeds and can be directed by the wearer to hit anything its targeting system locks onto. Once a target is locked onto by Ricochet mask the boomerang will follow it until it either hits its intended target or its energy depletes and it dissolves into harmless photons.

The energy boomerang is powerful enough to slice through several full grown trees with little to no loss of momentum and still hit its intended target. The boomerang’s energy form is electrified and can stun a full grown man much the way a taser gun does. The voltage on the energy boomerang is also powerful enough to short out electronics in a vehicle or any technology based machinery it hits.

Ricochet mask can fire several boomerangs at once at multiple targets or arc several boomerangs around it’s wearer forming a protective “shield” of spinning projectiles to baffle enemy targeting systems or to destroy incoming projectiles.

Use of multiple boomerangs in this method or rapidly firing boomerangs can tax Ricochet’s targeting system as well as rapidly deplete its energy supply.

Ricochet forms an airtight seal around its wearer and contains its own emergency oxygen supply as well as an internal oxygen mask with a universal attachment that allows it to connect to any air or spacecraft oxygen supply.

Ace wears an insulated, fire retardant Kevlar pressure suit underneath his civilian clothes. Ace almost always wears a vintage leather bomber jacket over his uniform.

Ace pilots Slingshot a heavily customed and modified 1985 Class B Turbo Diesel Recreational Vehicle that splits in half length wise and converts into a mobile surveillance vehicle with a launch platform for a miniature super sonic jet fighter.

Both Slingshot’s jet and surveillance units can act as unmanned drones controlled by whichever vehicle the pilot is commanding at the time or by mental commands sent through Ricochet mask itself. Slingshot’s surveillance unit can also be commanded by two other agents while a third pilots its jet.

Slingshot’s land unit’s grill rolls over to reveal twin 20mm Vulcan cannons. The customized cannons are hydraulically driven, 6 barreled, rotary action, electrically fired weapons concealed inside air cooling tubes. The Vulcan’s have selectable rates of fire of either 4000 or 6000 rounds per minute. The lightweight gun system is mated to a link less ammunition storage and handling system. The F-14 has a capacity of 676 rounds of M-50 or PGU series electrically primed ammunition.

The Vulcan Cannons can fire directly ahead of Slingshot or tilt upwards to a 90 degree angle to fire at enemy aircraft.

Slingshot’s jet cradle/launch platform raises on hydraulic arms positioned on either side of the cradle and can launch the jet using and electromagnetic launching system that uses magnetic force to catapult the jet from its cradle so it is a safe distance from the ground unit before igniting its twin rear mounted jets.

Slingshot’s jet also has VTOL (Vertical Take-Off/Landing) capability which enables it to land or take off vertically. Slingshot’s launch arms can “catch” the jet when it hovers close enough to the cradle and gently lock it into place.

Each arm of the jet cradle contains a rail gun system referred to as “Phaser Cannons” that can use electromagnetic force to fire projectiles in a 360 degree radius around the ground unit. The phaser cannons have an automatic load system and Slingshot carries 40 rounds (20 for each cannon) the phaser cannons have the farthest range of any weapon system in Slingshot’s arsenal but they also use the most power to operate.

Slingshot’s ground unit contains digital, audio and video surveillance systems allowing it to record, store, sort and distribute massive amounts of information in it’s onboard computer systems as well as send direct feeds to MASK’s other computer systems for analysis by the team and is invaluable to them in forming strategies against enemy targets.

Slingshot’s jet is a fast attack highly maneuverable fighter plane. Its main defense besides its speed and maneuverability are twin forward mounted Vulcan cannons like the ones located in the ground unit’s rolling grill.

Slingshot’s jet carries a laser-guided bomb (LGB) that uses semi-active laser guidance to strike a designated target with great accuracy. The bomb uses on-board electronics to track targets that are designated by an infrared laser and it adjusts its glide path to precisely strike the target.

Since the bomb is tracking a light signature, not the object itself, the target must be illuminated by another MASK agent, the mobile ground unit, by a pod on the jet itself, or by a separate support aircraft.
