Description Edward “Auger” Augutter was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A former heavyweight boxer nicknamed “The Fist” Eddie retired early from the sport and became a world renowned spelunker who specialized in fabricating mechanical equipment for exploring the depths of the earth. Both these skills made him an ideal choice for the Earth Corps team.

Auger fancies himself as a ladies man and believes in living the good life. When not on the job he usually goes to the best restaurants, wears tailor made clothes and enjoys being in the spotlight more than his fellow scientists.

Quick tempered and headstrong Auger often argues with anyone around him who sets him off. More often than not Auger will trade insults with his teammate and engineering partner Doctor Derek Bright who seems to take Auger’s fits of rage in stride or dismisses him with a sarcastic comment which only seems to anger Auger even more.

Usually the only victim of Auger’s rage besides the evil Inhumanoids are the TV sets that Earth Corp routinely have to replace because of Auger’s hair trigger temper. More often than not Auger will become incensed by something he sees on TV and hurl his shoe or boot at the screen while ranting like a madman at whoever offended him. Because of several such incidents the team has put their television sets behind protective nets or barriers to prevent Auger from smashing them.

Auger is the most physical and adventurous of the Earth Corp team. This combined with his fiery personality will often get him into trouble when he’s left unchecked. When this happens Auger can usually harness his emotions to give him the strength and endurance to power his way through any tight spots he may get himself into.

The exploration suit has been tested to withstand concussive force of 50 lbs of TNT. Fully insulated and pressure regulated, the suit can withstand external temperature variations from –50 degrees to 8500 degrees Fahrenheit.

The horns on the sides of Auger’s helmet are “piton projectiles” which can shoot off the sides of his helmet and stick inside most any substance and detonate like a 25mm grenade causing massive amounts of damage.

Auger’s suit has a chest mounted power regulator for his arsenal as well as a manual control panel for the suits weapons. The chest also functions as a storage area for extra weapons that can be attached to the drill as needed.

On the “elbow” of each arm are shock coils that act as energy absorbers which help power the suit and can send out powerful electrical shocks.

The right arm of Auger’s suit is a multi functional super strong diamond tipped drill that can penetrate virtually any substance. The drill is a high-speed multi directional pneumatic rock drill that consists of a percussive and rotating system which is capable of 5000 strikes per minute and 400 rotations per minute. Combined together, these functions enable drilling holes into dense rock or any other material.

The pneumatic system can also make the drill function like a jackhammer when its chisel attachment is enabled.

The pneumatic system in the drill can be modified to launch 40 mm grenades and has a flat attachment that can act as a battering ram

Auger’s suit is the most heavily armored of all the Earth Corps environment suits and has been specially designed to protect him from the debris caused by his drilling and blasting equipment.

to me auger just always came across as being the die hard john mcclane character of the hasbro animated shared universe.

die hard was the very first action movie i ever saw with m ydad when i was a kid and anyways i just got to thinking over time that augers character =john mcclanes character but with more firepower anger and attitude lol

i have always wondered if it was just me that noticed that fact about augers character back in the day or if any other fans ever picked up on the fact over time.

I love Die Hard as well and Bruce Willis as an action star I just went with more modern actors for this series. But yeah he does have that wise ass, pissed off angry thing Willis has.

Btw since your fan of Bruce Willis did you see this? www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibl… They used Bruce's face and head as the basis for this figure.

HOT DAMN I KNEW IT

i have been wondering about that for years and holy shit was i ever right lo

What exactly where you wondering about with Auger?

I picked Vin Diesel as the model since he's around the same age as Auger and he just has that former boxer sort of look more than Willis does to me.

for anyone here who grew up watching the show as a kid back in the day i got a question

is it me or does auger come across in his way as being the bad ass john mcclane member of the team?

and yes i mean that john mcclance character from the movie die hard

MJMJR In reply to avionusmaximus [2014-07-27 18:34:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah Auger was kind of like an angrier version of John McClane and just as insane with his strategies for fighting anything.

Anyone ever notice that Auger bares a striking resemblence to Vin Diesel? Just food for thought is Inhumanoids is ever made into a movie.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to spiderxand [2012-10-22 23:59:33 +0000 UTC]

That's because I used Vin Diesel as the model for Auger

I use real people as the basis for most of my character drawings.

Oh, didn't know that. I was speaking about the cartoon. Who did you use for the other actors in Inhumanoids?

MJMJR In reply to spiderxand [2012-10-23 04:12:12 +0000 UTC]

Eric Bana as Dr. Derek Bright, Chris Hemsworth as Herc Armstrong and Seth Rogen as Liquidator

Cool. I've got a casting of Inhumanoids at Imagine Casting. So far I'm drawing a blank on actors.

What's Imagine Casting? Is that a fan site where people submit the actors they think would be best for the rolls?

Esentially, yes. You sign up, for free, and vote in. As well as creating your own movie. I have my casting call Yahoo Group!, so this is a real treat for me.

I did a similar thing years ago on the Wonder Man: Cooler than Superman message board where I made the cast up for the Avengers West Coast movie. I wish I still had the write up I did on it.

spiderxand In reply to MJMJR [2012-10-24 23:20:07 +0000 UTC]

Do you remember who was in it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to spiderxand [2012-10-25 00:08:39 +0000 UTC]

It's been ages. The only thing we did was put no limit on who we could pick for each character since we said it would be that person in their prime. The only ones I can recall offhand were Bruce Campbell for Hawkeye and Dwayne Johnson for the villain Goliath.

To my memory, Auger was kind of the asshole of the group. Just as Smurfs had Grumpy Smurf, and Care Bears had Grumpy Bear, and TMNT has Raphael, this guy was definitely the character of the jerk/douche bag category.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to MDTartist83 [2011-12-19 22:56:06 +0000 UTC]

He was for the most part. The guy was constantly angry but really if you watch the show now you see he was justified in his rage most of the time.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MDTartist83 In reply to MJMJR [2012-01-02 21:22:52 +0000 UTC]

In some cases, he did have justified reasons for his outbursts. But he also had a rather bizzare fixation of destroying TV sets with his shoes from what I remember.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to MDTartist83 [2012-01-03 06:29:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah Auger would lose his shit over something said on television, usually during the news and he would pull off his shoe or a boot and hurl it at the TV smashing it. In later episodes the other team members erect a net across the TV to stop the shoes from blowing their set up.

MDTartist83 In reply to MJMJR [2012-03-06 20:28:29 +0000 UTC]

Heh. Yep; Auger was a handful. He was definitely something else.

My favorite is he ran for president in the final episode. I think if he won half the world would have been nuclear cinders

That's my favourite character in Inhumanoids so far ... the guy with the coolest suit!

MJMJR In reply to fletcherc [2011-09-03 23:45:31 +0000 UTC]

I went with his animated version rather than the action figure which looks like a guy covered in purple brains. Seriously, do a Google search for him and you'll see the toy and wonder what the fuck they were thinking when they did that.

Yes, and I used Chris Hemsworth for Herc, Seth Rogen for Liquidator and Eric Bana for Dr. Bright.

Btw Thor is coming out on DVD here in September

It's funny, when I know which actor you used then I can totally see it. But if I don't know it, I can never deduce which one you used.

Yes, here too! I can hardly wait!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MJMJR In reply to donatien1740 [2011-09-01 00:04:07 +0000 UTC]

Well everyone else I did a lot of customizing on them to make them look like the character. Vin and Auger are both shaved bald so really the only thing I did with him was make his eyebrows thicker.

I know, I've been looking forward to seeing it for a while.

Thanks! I went with the cartoon/comic book version of his armor since the toy armor looks like he's wearing a suit made of brains

MJMJR In reply to Humblehistorian [2011-08-31 00:04:28 +0000 UTC]

I never said they weren't disturbing One of the Inhumanoids turns everything it touches into monsters and zombies. The next one I plan on drawing is the Gagoyle who eats everything and it has a see-through stomach.
