Seaspray is an energetic sailor with an enthusiasm for his job unmatched by his fellow Autobots. Seaspray loves aquatic environments, the life they contain and the travelers who brave them.

Seaspray is a fun-loving and likeable Cybertronian whose distinctive gurgling voice is rarely heard saying a negative word. Despite his friendly gentle nature Seaspray loves the thrill of battle and is a fearless warrior in and out of the water who gives his all to fight for and protect his fellow Autobots and any hapless seafaring creatures or vessels that are threatened.

Seaspray loves the feeling of freedom he experiences from water, whether skimming the surface in his hovercraft mode or walking the ocean floor in robot mode and he will do anything to defend it.

Seaspray dislikes being on land in any mode and isn’t particularly agile in robot mode on solid ground.

Seaspray is physically weak in robot mode and makes up for this with a great intelligence skilled in naval combat tactics. Seaspray is also very fast able to reach 120 knots for a range of 4000 miles on water. On land his speeds is slowed and his range is limited.

In robot mode Seaspray can still employ his hovercraft functions through his feet and skim water or “skate” across land.

Seaspray is armed with a battery of powerful lasers he can use in both robot and hovercraft modes. Seaspray also employs a high powered harpoon gun on occasion.

I have always loved Seaspray because he was just so damn upbeat and enthusiastic as far as the original Transformers went and he truly loved his job. Any mission he was sent on the little guy would leap at it and do whatever he had to make the mission a success. Even going so far as mystically being transformed into a merman/humanoid being didn’t phase him and he became one of the few Transformers to become “human” for a time and fall in love with another humanoid.

For Seaspray I went with a combination of his original toy design, the original cartoon design and iGear figure based on him. Also I gave him the iGear version’s harpoon gun because it just looked so cool.
