This is pretty cool looking.
It does have a horse like look, have you thought about adding this to a sci fi western themed picture?
Maybe Gunsmoke 2500?
I bet a lot of the plot themes that they use in Westerns even the old school ones can be adapted to a sci fi setting.

I have to check out that video.
Gunsmoke 2500 is the sci fi version of Gunsmoke.
Its not real but it would be a good area to explore.

Thanks, I saw it on youtube.
Its pretty cool.
I like music videos in which the band does stuff instead
of just playing their instruments and singing.

I used to read a magazine called Juxtapoz because its full of weird stuff, great for inspiration.
The magazine is full of ads but you get to see some great stuff.
They had a Western sci fi issue and it was cool. Not sure they sell it near you, can find it in large bookstores/magazine stores.
Not too many people here do Western Sci fi but there is plenty of reference all over the place.
Can find westerns on youtube.

Interesting looking magazine. And yeah, I've noticed, I may explore that realm further (I actually have some sketches that could sorta count)

Juxtapoz has some cool stuff, one of the artists in the magazine ads has an account here at DA.
Juxtapoz is mostly traditional art but they had an interview with Ray Caesar, he does digital 3d work.
Check out ImagineFX, that magazine has great tips for traditional and digital artists and the interviews are pretty good.
ImagineFX has a website and a group here on DA. Marta Dahlig who does a lot of tutorials for the magazine also has an account here. The magazine costs more but you get a DVD.
Having to watch B/W episodes of Gunsmoke at dinner guarantees a daily exposure to Westerns.
Thank goodness they stopped with the Rifleman episodes.
Only want to watch 1 more, High Noon and thats it for me.
So far have seen these sci fi westerns
Outland
Serenity/Firefly
The Futurama episode when they go to Mars.
There is a series of movies that does sci fi westerns but I forget the name.
I would do the sci fi western for a few pictures but I have this Dante's inferno racing game project to do.

Have watched lots of anime when I was a kid.
Old school stuff like Kimba the white lion, Gigantor, Speed Racer.
Other than Princess Moanoke (sp?) or Howl's moving castle, thats been my recent anime background.
Those 2 were very good.
I will check out Trigun.

Haha, thats pretty old school. And even with the Ghibli stuff, the more recent anime have changed. Trigun is still what I'd call a classic. Regardless, you should like it, I dont think I've ever met anyone who hasn't xD

There used to be this magazine called Play, it was console based but they did talk about PC games.
The reviewers were pretty good and I did learn a bit about console games. One of the nice things about the magazine besides the covers/graphics was the reviews and they did review anime. Have not seen it in a while so I don't know if the magazine is still out.
If you have not done it, check out Imaginefx, that is a great magazine for artists.

There is a ImagineFX club here and some of the people who write tutorials are members of DA.
Marta Dahlig is one.
There are probably others.
ImagineFX is expensive because it comes from England, the dollar to euro rate is pretty nasty.
American Artist/The artist's magazine has great stuff too.
One of them has a special drawing issue.
They are pretty cheap $5 and pretty informative.
Am interested in learning how to draw but am stuck on the suck/painful side and not on the suck/fun side.
Well, unless I do landscapes.
Art collector magazine is pure eye candy.
Do not underestimate the usefulness of eye candy.
Might see something that could inspire and or interest.
