Perfect pose for a hunter, bro. He's got it all, great iconic woodsmen feel to it. As always your attention to equipments details and textures pays off. I like the blood spatter he's tracking, perfect touch.
I think that it could be pushed further though. Really drive home the fear of the prey by showing the intensity of his eyes, a hunter always has piercing eyes that seem to be able to track you anywhere. Just an idea.

Thanks man. I hear ya on the eyes. If I were to sink more time into this one, I'd probably have spent it on the eyes/ face. This was another exercise in speed, I'm trying to get much more quantity from my time spent doing concepts. This was the best out of a series of 3 sketches that I made in a little over 3 hours, so I believe progress is being made. I'll put the other 2 in scraps.

It's awesome for speeds sake, i need to work on that big time. I used to be faster, I think to much now. Can't wait till it all just becomes second nature, and I can just draw again. So many rules float threw my head now.

Yeah, I was a bit burned out after the scorpion riders and promised myself that I'd go back and work on efficiency before getting into another marathon piece like that. I also had to promise Mojo that we'd have some old-school fun.

Smart, That is a genius idea. I've done a few concept pieces for myself actually, felt good. But it's back to slaving over paintings. Casper has been mailing me, asking for the other concept work I promised. I really want him to succeed, so I'm gonna try to give him something worthy of his idea. Ahhhh, this will take awhile.

Sounds like we're both back on the job for Casper then. I'm hammering out the rest of the Anrami designs that I said I'd do. I'm afraid the vast majority of it is going to have to be simple pencilwork. Might be all I have time for as the weather starts improving. Its a big project that he's got planned and I'd also really like to see him get published.
