i'm making karkat's horns so the technique isn't entirely the same as you used but it's got the same principle!!
but yes i'll surely show you when it's done!

Haha, thank you! I actually also made a pair of straight horns but I haven't made a picture jet.
You can also make the horns as in the tutorial, and cover them up with a thin layer of clay to make them smooth. That way they aren't too heavy

How wide are each of the strips to make the layers needed ?? also how long are they

MonkeyNumber5 In reply to Summerfuzzies [2013-09-27 13:29:39 +0000 UTC]
You can use any width you want! It depends on if you want a big curve or a small one. I used strips of 1,5 cm width and 25 cm in length. But remember that how smaller the diameter, how shorter the length is. I also made the biggest circles wider than the smaller ones.
Just experiment and you'll find the right ones that suit you

Deku-scrubs In reply to ??? [2013-09-26 17:24:10 +0000 UTC]
whoa thanks! quick question though! Would you recommend to paint the horns white/beige (like in the last image) before painting it with the actual colors or painting it right away with the actual colors?

MonkeyNumber5 In reply to Deku-scrubs [2013-09-26 17:33:04 +0000 UTC]
I would paint it first in a basic color like if you want to make it gray with white lighting, paint it grey first as a base. After that you can paint it in the actual colors you want to use. In that way you'll cover up the glue better.
In the last picture I already painted it three times That way it looks better
