Commission forI'm really happy with this one! Allowed me to return to the old httyd days where I would spend hours rendering out scales in charcoal... anyone remember? Good times.

exactly. And try to be more mindful of "edges and tapers" like he mentions. Getting that right really is key to making objects feel tangible when painting.

A couple weeks ago I made this Toothless painting That was my first attempt at drawing without a lineart, so it required a lot of cutting & smoothing. It obviously still looks very plastic-y because it lacks the details, but I wanted to go easy on my first try haha

Mmmh, I think we have talked about brushes before! I profit greatly from Photoshops superior brush engine if you ask me. Its the best around I think! I didn't create any of those though, its more of a brush selection I got after checking out a lot of brush packs x3

I got all my brushes from individual artists I follow. Like, my linework right now is mostly made with Shiyoon Kim's brush pack, I use a few of Ramonn90's brushes, and I also use a lot of Aaron Blaise's brushes. Its a small collection of brushes from artists I admire, and its more than enough for my needs. :3

Oof, let's see... I think on the first day I did a couple of sketches and my initial color pass. Then, on the second day I rendered out all the details. Almost finished it too, was only a matter of 1/4h of cleanup on the third day. So... maybe 5-6 hours? I didn't stop the time to be honest, so I can't say for certain.
