Description
Just a small depiction of one of my favourite showdowns ever. The music was so strong...Reference has been used a bit for Toothless and for the way Hiccup is sitting on top of him. Still need to wrap my head around this.

And I don't see why you shouldn't. If you ask me, you could be way better than this!

Exactly! As I always tend to say; I love Toothless not because he's an adorable character, we've got plenty of that in the industry. I love him because he's an adorable little puppy... most of the time: Except if you mess with him-- or his close ones. Then you can prepare your ass for wreckification. Thanks for the comment!

That's right! As you say there's so much cute Toothless out there, which isn't bad as he is just so adorable! X3 but we don't see enough of fierce Toothless! I think we forget that at the start of the first movie, the vikings feared him, coward from just the sound of him approaching. Toothless has a lot, but also lost a reputation in that department which is a shame in a sense

Damn right! That's why there's so much angry Toothless in my gallery. I just love how he's able to seemlessly shift from one to the other in a blink of an eye xD

Thanks! What do you mean by Hiccup's reaction, exactly?

That look on Hiccup's face when he was observing Toothless' supremacy battle with the Bewilderbad. Even in the movie in that scene when Toothless was roaring in triumph as the New Alpha towards the Bewilderbeast right after his left tusk fell off you should see the surprised look on Hiccup's face.. It was funny!!

Awesome ! really like the pose. Though in my opinion Hiccup's a little hunched over. Cool Drawing though the music was amazing too

Yup. I feel the same way about it. The weirdness of his pose comes to light especially if you look at the foot to the left and how it must be connected to the rest of the body But thanks nonetheless!

I wonder why his race got extinct... (or that's what they think...)
such a shame.

I actually hope they explain how his race got extinct... without bringing it back. That would make Toothless a bit less unique if you ask me. But yeah, it's just like the beautiful, proud tiger; Also very close to extinction :/ Wonder why all those amazing predators tend to go extinct.

cause menkind is thinking: "hm, that's a damn dangerous predator, so I'm gonna kill it as trophy!"
But regarding toothless, being the mysterious last one would be nice, if they would find out how they got extinct or why the breeding is so low.

You got a point there; I wouldn't be surprised if the reason for their extinction is people like Drago Bludvist, who actually hunt for trophies. As several people already pointed out, his inflamable cloak looks awfully familiar to a certain dragon species's scalp- and in times of movies like Zootopia it would make sense for them to go that place with the third movie. A "Night Fury Hunt" if you will, could share a few similarities to whale fishing in the real world.
I'd say the breeding is low because Night Furies are usually solitary creatures. From what we could whitness in the beginning of the first film the Night Fury is always like a scout, this mostly passive and precise one - always floating above the scene, observing. Would be logical if that was just the way they behaved, also in group situations.

goodpoint!
