Description Or possibly how not to do it, I am not sure…
It’s a stupid mental image that took me faar longer to doodle than expected. But it is done.

I am not trying truly to paint any house worse than any other, but the attributes most valued by Godric never made sense in the context of education.

Then again I never understood why Hufflepuffs always had the lowest points. They get the job done. They work for it shouldn’t they then learn more readily..? never mind.

My self? I’m a Slytherin.

Makes sense, I just don't get how Hufflepuff can't get the most points and always be in the top of the grades. No sucsessful person got their by not working

My friend once called me a Slytherpuffclaw, basically I'm everything except Gryffindor. Which is true, I fit in well in all the houses, but i am so not the Brave and Nerves of Steel type. ^_^

This was really interesting. I love that Sal kept asking what Greg was planning. That was funny.

Darth-Flake In reply to ??? [2013-10-13 20:47:03 +0000 UTC]

I always had this image of Hogwarts that it's like the prejudice version of a very expensive British private schools, where the rich people send their children, wether they're smart or not and half of the courses are fencing or some kind of sport... In that matter, Griffindor fits exactly my conception. xD

It's awesome!! And yes, Griffindor's rules are damn crazy, useless, senseless, and the student's profile... too stupid!!

I'm Slytherin! They have everything!

(no offense to every other opinion, or preference)

Morloth88 In reply to Esteff12 [2013-10-18 09:58:14 +0000 UTC]

Rules? the houses have diffrent rules?

The student's profile is not stupid in a humanity context but in a school context? pointless

We do have everything. we win

Voaz-Kzrhovb In reply to Morloth88 [2013-10-14 08:33:27 +0000 UTC]

well actually now that i think about it its more like personal popinional foreshadowing:

Aside from some side characters J.K didnt' write very much about hufflepuff at all, hence how is it then synonymous with cool, ie the irony that she'd think they would be and Ravenclaw seems worried that a smart student won't be in her respective house which was the case with hermoine who was in, uh-oh guess who's house XD

I should have elaborated before o.o

ps I actually like hufflepuff. I'd be in it or gryffindor according to every test i've ever taken XD

I think Hermione was not put in Ravenclaw because Rowena wanted pretty people, and if my knowledge of the books is correct, Hermione didn't fit the bill until later in the series. I mean no offence at all, I thought she was gorgeous, but Rowena Ravenclaw seems like the person who would pick on the smallest flaws, like Hermione's bushy hair and big front teeth. If she had known that she would blossom into such a vision in later terms, she probably would have chosen her.

HoneyFHam In reply to ??? [2013-10-13 20:13:30 +0000 UTC]

I just realized how dumb gryffindore really is. I mean Slytherin trains people to be leaders and politicians, Ravenclaw teaches people to be scholars, Hufflepuff teaches people to be the backbone of society and to be the everyday people. It sounds like Godric wanted to open a military school while everyone else wanted an academic school

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Morloth88 In reply to HoneyFHam [2013-10-13 20:41:09 +0000 UTC]

I don't want people to go all negative on the jock house.  sports an war and bravery and chivelery are masing traits in people, just not when it comes to learning...not in any way I can see at any rate

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HoneyFHam In reply to Morloth88 [2013-10-13 20:57:44 +0000 UTC]

I know, it just seems that the ideals of Godric seem more suited for a military school, that's all. I mean, sports are meant to be used to teach teamwork and coordination, but they are second in importance to actual academics. And shouldn't a school be more interested in Academics than sports?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Morloth88 In reply to HoneyFHam [2013-10-14 08:23:14 +0000 UTC]

Three out of four houses are interested in academics, those statistics aren't bad

well personally- I think that while Gryffindor wasn't very academic oriented- he did focused on stuff for life in general.

being smart is great- but you can't really on book smart is there is like--- a massive fire and people need to get out or rescue people trapped under a fallen roof.

stuff like that.

also- chivalry- chivalry is important.

Morloth88 In reply to Mairelyn [2013-10-13 20:07:13 +0000 UTC]

Sure, but it's a school. it's about learning. it makes no sense in that context

This is made of pure win. Love how you portrayed the four founders, especially Gryffindor's lack of logic and Helga's determination that Hufflepuff's will be cooler than sliced bread. xD

Thanks. it was just an observation of "bravery" beung an odd choice as a learning attribute that turned in to a lot of silliness
