I wanted to try to do some knotwork in wood, but with each element being a separate bead.The simple 3 strand braid seemed to be the best/simplest pattern to try that.
Sawed, drilled, sanded from an old plank that was gathering dust in the attic. Probably pine or fir wood.
Varnished. The beads are held with an elastic string, so it's easy to put on one's wrist.

Your pendant requires more skills than the bracelet I think 
Each piece of the bracelet has a very simple shape while your pendant is in 3D and rather complex.

thanks but in all honesty it only took me a day or two, i find it harder to work with more than one piece and get a good finished result like you did with ur bracelet

Beautiful! Love the idea you had, and that you used some old wood in an attic! Have you thought about making more and selling them? I would love to own a bracelet like this, and I bet there are others like me too!

At the moment, given my "skills" (or lack thereof) with woodworking, it takes me a very long time to make things like this, so I think it'll be a one of a kind. Maybe if I improve, I could think of making more
