It's quite a dark cake. Made with dark chocolate. I have eaten the cake and it was not burnt. Maybe it was the quality/lighting on that pic.

Well, it's pretty foolproof. So long as you don't burn it, not much can go wrong.
If you don't mix the stuff right, it won't puff up initially. But that's okay, because it's meant to fall again :3
