Minotaur crouching, and centaur rearing...just about to engagereally wanted to depict taught and tense musculature and stuff

The Minotaur looks interesting. Too bad there isn't a frontal view. The back view is interesting in its own right.

i guess i could revisit this scene, using an angle from behind the centaur and looking at the mino

Stallion's expression is almost lupine, but the tense muscles of both figures and the poses add a real note of action and intensity to the scene. One of the most common mistakes in depicting centaurs is having the pose of one body not matching the pose of the other, you avoid that handily. Not sure the Minotaur's legs could take the strain on 'em.

about the Minotaur, i originally wanted the creature leaning on a rock or a tree with the left arm...ultimately though, i thought he'd just use the spear to counter balance and to push up to stand
