Description Cheery one. Man, Boone is bad writer. Florid.

Eventually, after numerous soldiers complained about Angelas silence spooking them, she was asked by the major to at least whistle as she walked through the corridors so people knew when she was coming.

It proved even scarier.

Wait, her sister dies?

So does she change personalities when changing into her full-face-mask outfit?

If so, that would be wonderfully creepy and fantastic and very 40k.

But didn't you just recently post her sister's profile, in which she was very much alive? Are they written in different time-periods? *slightly confused*

Sirwilson95 [2011-01-27 17:59:09 +0000 UTC]

well, you went with her at this point in her life...probably for the best, the loss of her sister would certainly be her defining moment. I think having Boone, the military outsider provide the initial analysis was brilliant.

Truly a haunting character, I don't think disconcerting is strong enough, Cuddles is disconcerting, but I don't feel that she is actively terrifying, there's nothing specifically scary about her. She isn't raving, which might be scary, she isn't cold and calculating, which might be scary... She just strikes me as haunting. Hauntingly emotionless (or emotionally suffering) in that she seems to be a walking pile of pain, not even living for anything, just living because she isn't dead. She seems hauntingly dangerous, outwardly not aggressive when at rest, but clearly capable of killing you without so much as a twitch. Her mind-scape is (according to Boone) hauntingly desolate, reminding me of a cross between an elephant graveyard and a tank graveyard. Her personality (what personality there is) is hauntingly gentle. Even her appearance, her expression is haunted yes, but she is also hauntingly beautiful, if her eyes had any life in them, or had she even the slightest upturn of her lips she would be the kind of dangerous beauty that guardsmen, (and some fa/tg/uys) find irresistible.

Overall I think Angela is a fantastic character, well drawn and very well fleshed out. I think the pipe is a nice touch, and I like her lusterless hair, it fits her personality and with the stress she lives with between military life and her mental disorders it makes a lot of sense that her hair might fade, not to grey, but to just such a nutrition-less lusterless color. Also I take it she is a bit older then the next most recent drawing of her.

Angela is a good character that I feel would be an honor to serve with, yet would clearly not be a pleasure to serve with and yet....not be a displeasure to serve with either.

Its relieving to hear you say that. I was worried it was kind of a mess. I'm not sure what I'd make of meeting Angela. To a passer by she really is truly harmless, but would have a very heavy presence all the same.

Boone is a pretty bad writer. Good job imitating it; it can be hard to purposefully write badly.

Hmm, scary whistling. Cool.

I just figured florid and too much puntuation, basically using what is bad in my own writing and multiplying it.
