Description

If you want too google cyclopia, look it up on wikipedia first, before deciding whether to look at other images or not! It is disturbing and not for everyone!

Unfortuantely, even in an altenate world where very distant animals may have viable offspring together, much can go wrong.

Jumarts, the hybrids from cows and horses, are very rare. Even fertilization is already not guaranteed, Bull sperm is usually unable to penetrate the Horse ovum(as opposed to always unable to do so, as it might be in real life). Then the hybrid zygote may die, or the early embryo, during the two cell, four cell, eight cell, Morula Stage, Balstula Stage,Gastrula Stage, during implatation into the uterus or later on. This is because the genes of the partens are too different. The embroy or fetus may have organ defects, frequently the digestive tract is deformed or the skeleton, and the unborn hybrid dies and gets aborted.

By the time the Hybrid is 43 or 44 weeks old and ready for birth, it will likely survive, as most defetcive hybrids have died long before this stage. Some foals stil die because of milder derects,m buit htos ethat are healthy will usually (but sadly not alsways) survive and are actaully some of the most strong and vigorous creatures, as only the fittest of the fit have survived and those are very valuable as surefooted beasts of burden.

Sadly this foal-calf has Cyclopia and alobar Holoprosencephaly, likely caused by the disruption of the gene functions nescessary for forebrain separation (possibly because of the gene differences of the parents), and although it managed to stand, it likely will die within hours but could possible live up to two weeks, as smoe other aniamls with cyclopia have. Interstingly the eye has a funtional optic nerve and the brain can still process the visual information, so this foal-calf can actually see (i dont know whether this is possible in real live but atleast the optic nerves of cyclopses can be normal). If the owner is kind, he will nurse the young hybrid with a bottle and give it a better life than what it would have otherwise, as it could not suckle well with the shortened snout.
