Description
The Splinsters were omnivorous sapient rhinocheirids on Hamster´s Paradise. Unlike the Harmsters they were peaceful and empathetic. By 115 million+3000 years they got sapient only fairly recently. They were similarly sophisticated as neanderthals, but sadly they were eradicated by the Harmsters. They were not widespread to begin with, only living in a small part of gestaltia.

So what if the Harmster never evolved, what if a diesease and a comet and other circumstances eradicated the Riplets before they could bring harm to their world? What if the Splinthsters could develop further?
Their culture, stories and songs would not be lost forever, instead ever evolving. They would learn to create better and more sophisticated tools, learn to build houses and shelters, make more music and make art, and develop a civilisation. Maybe it would take them some time still, as they are quite young. Maybe a few ten thousand years...
They are far more peaceful than the harmsters could ever be. They would not eradicate many megafaunal species as the Harmsters did. Such an alternate world would still be a Hamsters Paradise, not a Harmsters Hell...
